During the two-year specialization at the art academy in Genk, Kitty Bongers focused on the use of (waste) plastic. With a special technique, she gives shape to her work that mainly consists of female figures.

Kitty is using a mold to create foam parts of the corpus which will afterwards stick together with foam.  After the corpus is build,  she wrapped it up with plastic film until it is wascovered completely. By heating the foil with an electric paint burner,  the foil folds to the outlines of the corpus. By cutting open the wrapped corpus locally, Kitty removes the foam. Rips are fused together.  By injecting blue paint with an hypodermic,  ink runs capillary between the plastic layers, This way, Kitty creates awesome effects.   http://www.k-artistique.nl
