DEMOLITION HEERLEN RAILWAY STATION

To enable the erection of the “Maankwartier”, in particular the baseplate above the tracks, the existing railway station (1985 J. Bak) had to be demolished. Below an impression of the report made for ProRail as commissioned by NS Stations.

The first picture represents the 2012 view of the street site.

The second picture is taken from the leaded window glass: art by Hans Truijen, named “Journey and Arrival In Town 1985”.

The panoramic views below include an interactive 360 degree view of the concourse as it was in October 2012 and a view from Platform 1 and its surroundings in 2011.
